Octoshape and Catenoid Partner for OTT/IPTV Services in South Korea

Octoshape, an industry leader in cloud-based, over-the-top (OTT) stream acceleration and contribution technologies for broadcasters, and Catenoid, an online Video Platform (OVP) and cloud computing service provider based in South Korea, announced today that they have entered into a partnership to offer video contribution and distribution solutions to major broadcasters and operators in South Korea and Japan.

Given the rapidly growing consumption of Internet video across connected devices, broadcasters and others increasingly require a carrier-grade, flexible, OTT solution that meets their quality, scale and cost requirements. Under the agreement, which further expands the Octoshape footprint to include the fast-growing South Korean market, broadcasters and operators gain access to Octoshape’s full suite of cloud-based OTT/IPTV video streaming services. In addition, Catenoid’s superior APAC expertise and pre-existing relationships, will serve to facilitate and expedite service localization and expansion.
