Klick Health Invites Toronto Developers & Agency Types to Use Its Concierge Service for a Taste of What It’s Like at a Top 10 Best Place to Work

In keeping with its people-centric culture and approach to business management, Klick Health today launched its “Get a Taste of Life at Klick” experiential recruiting campaign, leveraging proven tactics typically reserved for marketing products and services to consumers.

“We know that one of the biggest things any job candidate wants to know is what it’s really like to work where they’re interviewing,” said Klick Health CEO Leerom Segal. “Just like consumer packaged goods companies know the effectiveness of sampling and other experiential marketing programs, we want to give people a real taste of the Klick experience as we continue to grow and hire the industry’s best and brightest minds.”

According to Suzanne Fanning, president of Chicago-based Word of Mouth Marketing Association, “Good experiences spark more conversations than ads, articles, and coupons combined. People should be at the heart of everything companies do, even sharing their corporate culture with prospective employees – and a little ice cream never hurts either.”

The integrated experiential recruiting campaign hit the city’s downtown streets today with concierge-themed street teams serving ice cream from a Klick-branded ice cream truck and cart, paying homage to Klick’s fully-stocked ice-cream freezer at the office. Later this week, Klick will bring its Tavern program to popular agency watering holes.

Local web/app developers and agency types are also being invited to tweet @KlickConcierge to try the company’s unique concierge service, which regularly orders dinner and runs errands for ‘Klicksters’ to make their lives easier.

Concierge-planned baby shower?
Klick Concierge’s other office responsibilities include managing the agency’s on-site health and wellness centre (offering free daily yoga and fitness classes) and convenient dry cleaning service, as well as handling customized tasks for employees, as required.

Some of the Klick Concierge’s more unique, unexpected recent tasks include:

  • Researching baby shower gifts;
  • Arranging a honeymoon;
  • Helping plan a bachelor party;
  • Finding staff temporary living accommodations; and
  • Sending personalized gifts to spouses/partners of employees who were snowed-in at an out-of-town client meeting on Valentine’s Day.

Most Admired Corporate Culture and Best Managed Company
Klick was recently ranked one of the Best Workplaces in Canada for the third year running, moving up to #9 this year in the sub-1,000-employee category. In 2013, Klick won 85 awards for its client work, corporate management and culture, including being named one of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures, 50 Best Managed Companies, and 50 Best Employers.

What’s more, the company’s unique culture inspired the writing of the New York Times’ Bestselling business book, The Decoded Company (Portfolio/Penguin), which also profiles progressive management practices at Google, Starbucks, Valve, and Whole Foods.

Toronto-based web/app developers and agency types are invited to use the Klick Concierge this summer by tweeting @KlickConcierge.
