Magic Johnson to Deliver Keynote at CJ Affiliate by Conversant’s “Power of Personal” CJ University Event

CJ Affiliate by Conversant today announced that renowned entrepreneur and NBA legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson will deliver the keynote address at the company’s annual CJ University event this fall. A Major League Baseball team owner, two-time basketball Hall of Fame inductee, philanthropist and motivational speaker, Johnson will deliver a keynote embodying the 2014 CJ University theme of The Power of Personal, followed by a Q&A session led by CJ Affiliate President Kerri Pollard.

“Magic truly is magic,” said Pollard. “He’s one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country, with the tremendous strategic perspective, energy and tenacity that embody the affiliate business. We are absolutely thrilled to have him kick off our CJU event this year. His participation will help us make CJU a one-of-a-kind experience that reinforces our loyalty and commitment to our partners and the business magic that great affiliate marketing can create for brands and publishers alike.”

The CJU event is a unique networking and information-sharing opportunity for the fast-growing affiliate marketing industry. It is designed to empower all stakeholders in affiliate marketing, including senior marketing leaders, affiliate experts, and leading publishers, with the tools, insights and ideas that will propel their businesses. CJ University’s The Power of Personal theme speaks to how the annual event provides an unmatched venue for engaging in one-to-one conversations with other affiliate thought leaders.

To provide a great opportunity for anyone in the world to participate in CJU across social channels, CJ Affiliate is encouraging people to tweet a question they would like Pollard to ask during the Q&A, using the hashtag #CJMAGIC. CJ Affiliate will pick three of these questions to ask Johnson onstage at the Q&A, naming the winners’ social handles.

CJ University 2014 highlights include:

  • More than 900 attendees including more than 50 IR500 advertisers and 190 CJPerformers
  • Several intimate networking events that provide the ideal setting to cultivate new relationships and foster existing partnerships
  • Opportunities to network face-to-face with current and potential partners to develop successful Q4 plans and outline strategies for 2015 (for example, more than 50 percent of advertisers have built their highest performing programs at CJU, and publishers who attend CJU have experienced three-fold growth)
  • Expert-led learning sessions at CJU that offer the opportunity to learn best practices and develop forward-thinking strategies that align with the direction the industry is headed

CJ University will take place at The Fess Parker DoubleTree Resort in downtown Santa Barbara from September 9-11, 2014. Register for CJU here, and click here to check out the full CJU agenda.
