Big Switch Networks Partners With In-Q-Tel to Expand Hyperscale Networking Solutions to U.S. Government

Big Switch to Develop Highly Automated and Scalable Data Center Network Solutions on Bare-Metal Infrastructure Using SDN Technology

SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/22/14 -- Big Switch Networks today announced a strategic partnership with In-Q-Tel (IQT), the independent strategic investment firm that identifies, adapts, and delivers innovative technology solutions to support the missions of the U.S. Intelligence Community.

This partnership will help Big Switch continue development of advanced hyperscale networking solutions for both IQT customers and the broader enterprise data center market. Networks built on the bare-metal SDN software from Big Switch are highly automated, as well as cost efficient, as they run on inexpensive bare-metal switches. The technology allows customers to build large, cost-optimized, data center networks that can be run with reduced management overhead.
