WESTPORT, CT -- (Marketwired) -- 07/23/14 -- Silicene Labs, LLC, a pioneer in business and industry research on nanomaterials, has created a revolutionary metric to track the development of two-dimensional ("2D") materials -- the Silicene Labs 2D Materials Composite Index. Silcene Labs includes Dr. Lok C. Lew Yan Voon, a world-renowned solid-state physicist who has been called the "Father of Silicene."
Scientists and business leaders around the world acknowledge the approaching 2D materials revolution, which is certain to bring enormous change to commerce and society in future years. Entire industries will be disrupted by nanomaterials such as Graphene, while other industries will be major beneficiaries of them.
Despite the global interest in keeping up with advances in these extraordinary materials, no efforts have been made to measure their whiteboard-to-commercialization progress -- until now.
