SafeGuard World International Wins eLearning Award From Skillsoft

SANDBACH, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 07/24/14 -- SafeGuard World International (SGWI), a leading provider of global managed payroll, global employment outsourcing and international HR services proudly accepted its "Best New Implementation" award at Skillsoft's 2014 Perspectives EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) conference on 17 July, 2014.

Skillsoft, a cloud based global learning organization, held their annual conference in London, UK, where they announced the winners of their inaugural Inspire Awards. These awards were designed to celebrate the hard work and dedication of Learning & Development (L&D) professionals across EMEA. Five categories were reviewed by a panel of expert judges and SGWI won the "Best New Implementation" award.

As a high-growth organization, SGWI has been growing its staff by more than 50% every year. SGWI's strategy entails recruiting the best people in the industry as well as developing and retaining their existing team. To support that strategy, SGWI created SafeGuard University (SGU), an employee training program that provides its staff (affectionately known as Guardians) with content specific training courses.

As part of SGU's strategic expansion, SGWI was seeking an online training tool to provide both job specific training and soft skills training for its Guardians who are based across five offices in four different countries. SGWI researched the market and ultimately chose Skillsoft, who emerged as the clear market leader. SGWI aimed to complete its Skillsoft implementation across the whole business within 28 days. While this was challenging, the highly experienced Skillsoft implementation team worked diligently and met the aggressive timeline.

SGWI Founder & Chief Guardian Bjorn Reynolds commented, "According to Gartner Research, 'SGWI is the young disrupter in this market and are leading the field in global payroll.' A large part of that is due to our people. We want to invest heavily in our Guardians and continually enhance their skills as this will not only maintain our high employee retention rates but will also ensure that our clients continue to get maximum value from our people. We are completely committed to our Guardians and to investing in their futures."

Rachel Sault, SGWI University Leader, added, "In addition to the Skillsoft team's success in meeting our timeline, we were also thrilled with the fact that their solution offers all of their courses online, which means that our Guardians can take them at their convenience, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, regardless of what time zone they are in. At a group level, we enjoy a globally-consistent approach to training which has enabled us to create and track our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) consistently. At a tactical level, we now enjoy an eLearning tool that empowers each of our Guardians to keep learning."

Enterprises have been using both Big Data and virtualization for years. Until recently, however, most enterprises have not combined the two. Big Data's demands for higher levels of performance, the ability to control quality-of-service (QoS), and the ability to adhere to SLAs have kept it on bare metal, apart from the modern data center cloud. With recent technology innovations, we've seen the advantages of bare metal erode to such a degree that the enhanced flexibility and reduced costs that cl...

The Internet of Things (IoT), in all its myriad manifestations, has great potential. Much of that potential comes from the evolving data management and analytic (DMA) technologies and processes that allow us to gain insight from all of the IoT data that can be generated and gathered. This potential may never be met as those data sets are tied to specific industry verticals and single markets, with no clear way to use IoT data and sensor analytics to fulfill the hype being given the IoT today.
