SFW Capital Partners Completes Sale of AGDATA to Vista Equity Partners

SFW Capital Partners (“SFW”), a specialized private equity firm that invests with management in mid-sized companies that provide analytical tools and related services, today announced that it has completed the sale of AGDATA, the leading provider of strategic data and analytical solutions to the world’s largest agricultural and animal health manufacturers, to Vista Equity Partners.

SFW invested in AGDATA, which is based in Charlotte, N.C., in 2010, and supported CEO Richard Bettison and the AGDATA management team in a wide range of strategic growth initiatives. These initiatives included the expansion of AGDATA’s globally leading customer base, investments in the company’s systems and business infrastructure, and the successful creation of AGDATA’s SaaS-based AgCelerate Industry Standard Platforms business unit. These initiatives enhanced AGDATA’s service offering for its customers and drove meaningful growth in AGDATA’s revenues during the period of SFW’s investment.
