NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 07/24/14 -- Today JobDiva Inc.® (www.JobDiva.com), the global technology leader in staffing, announced that it is now possible to store and stream videos related to a Candidate in JobDiva without having to rely on any other media player.
"With more Recruiters than ever conducting Video Interviews to evaluate Candidates, and more Candidates creating Video Resumes and Video Cover Letters to stand out from the crowd, JobDiva now provides this enhanced functionality that adds real value to the talent acquisition process," Diya Obeid, JobDiva CEO, said.
With this latest innovation, there are no technical requirements for storing or playing a video in JobDiva, so Users are now able to watch videos from any desktop or laptop computer from which they access JobDiva.
Additionally, Candidates can themselves provide their own videos via JobDiva's Candidate Portal, which will then be available for Users to watch from the Candidate Viewer screen. This new feature will be especially helpful:
- to Companies who conduct interviews online and record them,
- to Candidates wishing to provide a more dynamic representation of themselves to potential employers, something to supplement a traditional Text Resume.
While Video Resumes do not provide the level of detail of a traditional Text Resume, they do provide Recruiters and Employers with a better sense for how applicants present themselves.
In fact, a survey by Vault.com indicated that 89 percent of employers said they would watch a Video Resume, while recruitment video specialist Hello My Name Is... reports that 83 percent of employers believe that standard CVs do not fairly reflect "important qualities such as personality and confidence."
