KFC Canada is keeping things Fresh with the announcement that its new urban fast casual concept - first piloted in December 2013 as KFC Select - is expanding.

"KFC Fresh began as Canada's incubator for signature innovation, so we're delighted to announce that we're expanding and evolving the concept with a new location at the Stockyards mall in Toronto and an expanded menu," explains Nicolas Burquier, General Manager of KFC Canada.

Burquier says that KFC Fresh is maintaining its trademark open kitchen and will be serving new freshly prepared Hand Crafted Sandwiches, Off the Grill Wraps, Kitchen Fresh Rice Bowls and Salads. Prices range from $3.99 for an order of Loaded Waffle Fries topped with guacamole, pico de gallo and jalapenos to $5.99 for four hand breaded chicken strips with a hand spun dipping sauce.

One other noteable new twist? This Fall, for the first time ever, KFC Canada fans will be able to enjoy a cool, crisp beer with their KFC Fresh Wrapmaster grilled chicken wraps and signature loaded waffle fries. For now, the company will offer beer only at its two KFC Fresh locations in the Greater Toronto area.

"KFC Fresh hand crafted sandwiches and freshly grilled chicken wraps are stacked with taste that pairs perfectly with a cold beer. We'll be serving Molson Canadian, Coors Light, Coors Banquet and Heineken beers starting sometime this Fall," confirms David Vivenes, KFC Canada's Chief Marketing Officer.

Vivenes says the latest menu expansion is a natural evolution of the KFC Fresh concept. "KFC Fresh is a relaxed, contemporary gathering place where friends grab a quick, fresh bite for lunch or before heading out for the evening," says Vivenes, adding that the new Stockyards location will also offer grilled burritos, sundaes and ice cream cones.

About KFC Fresh

There are currently two KFC Fresh restaurants in Canada. A 1200 square foot restaurant is located in the hub of Toronto's busy Bloor Street business and shopping district - and a new 1500 square foot restaurant that opens July 25, 2014 at Toronto's Stockyards mall. Both locations are awaiting liquor license approval and are expected to begin serving beer later this Fall.

KFC Fresh restaurants feature a bright, inviting contemporary design with exposed brick and warm wood finishes. An open kitchen allows guests to see Off the Grill Wraps, Kitchen Fresh Bowls and Hand Crafted Sandwiches being freshly prepared.

All organizations that did not originate this moment have a pre-existing culture as well as legacy technology and processes that can be more or less amenable to DevOps implementation. IoT is at the core or many Digital Transformation initiatives with the goal of re-inventing a company's business model. We all agree that collecting relevant IoT data will result in massive amounts of data needing to be stored. However, with the rapid development of IoT devices and ongoing business model transformation, we are not able to predict the volume and growth of IoT data. And with the lack of IoT history, traditional methods of IT and infrastructure planning based on the past do not app...
