LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 07/25/14 -- Online poker room PKR.com is offering a place on Team PKR Pro and $5,000 in live tournament buy-ins to the winner of its Road to Team Pro promotion, which begins today. The next pro will follow in the footsteps of 2013 Road to Team Pro winner Steven Richner, who participated at the World Series of Poker. The winner will join a Team which features Brits Simon Hemsworth and Eleanor Gudger, and PKR.fr ambassador Patty Beaumier, and they'll be given the opportunity to reach the heights achieved by former Team PKR Pros Jake Cody, Vladimir Geshkenbein, Sofia Lovgren and Andrew Teng.
The Road to Team Pro promotion begins today, with players earning leaderboard points from all real-money ring games and tournaments. The points format gives tournament players a fair crack at the leaderboard which ordinarily might be dominated by ring game players. The top five finishers will be guaranteed their seat in the 9-seater Final on Sunday 10 August, with the next 95 places on the leaderboard destined for a playoff on 09 August where the other 4 Final seats will be won. The Final will take the form of a deep stacked Sit & Go with first place winning a $5,000 Team PKR Pro package and the other eight places sharing $2,000 of consolation prizes from $1,000 to $50.

I'm a lonely sensor. I spend all day telling the world how I'm feeling, but none of the other sensors seem to care. I want to be connected. I want to build relationships with other sensors to be more useful for my human. I want my human to understand that when my friends next door are too hot for a while, I'll soon be flaming. And when all my friends go outside without me, I may be left behind. Don't just log my data; use the relationship graph. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Ryan Boyd, Engi...
