LitWorks and Espion Introduce eDisclosure and Litigation Support Training Program in the UK

Europe-Based Espion Now Offering LitWorks(TM) Certified Litigation Support Professional Training to Law Firm and Corporate Legal Clients

DUBLIN, IRELAND and ATLANTA, GA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/28/14 -- DTI, the largest privately held legal process outsourcing company in the US providing managed services, litigation support and eDiscovery, and its wholly owned training company LitWorks™ announced today the launch of Certified Litigation Support Professional training courses in the UK with Espion, one of Europe's leading forensics and eDiscovery service providers. The program will be delivered with an eye toward cross-border litigation processes and protocols between the US and the UK.

LitWorks is the first and most comprehensive training company dedicated exclusively to developing and sharing best practices in the litigation support and eDiscovery industry. Today more than ever, staying current with changing regulations and new technology applications is critical for legal professionals. The evolution of eDiscovery (also referred to as eDisclosure in the UK) requires even seasoned litigation support managers to prioritize professional development.

Mark Wiley, Espion training manager said: "As the UK enacts its new EU Data Protective Direction and eDiscovery rules introduced in 2013, we see more and more training requests from solicitors, paralegals and litigation support staff in the UK who are looking to elevate and accelerate their understanding of how to handle eDiscovery. LitWorks has a successful track record in supporting US legal professionals who were required to adopt similar rules in 2006. LitWorks has also been at the forefront of developing practical industry standards and certifications and enabling the legal professionals to excel in their roles."

Thomas Bonk, vice president of professional services at DTI, said: "We are thrilled to extend the reach of our LitWorks training programs to an international audience. We continue to observe increasing interest from our multinational corporate clients in the development of best practices in litigation support and eDiscovery."

The first training course, "LitWorks Certified Litigation Support Professional," will be held on 13-17 October 2014 at London's Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes, Marylebone, and is suitable for eDiscovery professionals, document review solicitors, litigation paralegals, legal aides and IT professionals. The focus of the course is to engender industry best practices as well as an excellent understanding of the latest software tools used in the marketplace. The course aims to enable legal professionals to effectively review a case, assess its needs and make a comprehensive recommendation on how best to manage it from start to finish. To register for this class, please visit the LitWorks website.

The course will be led by Kimberly Grippe-Meyer, subject matter expert and national training and development manager for LitWorks. Grippe-Meyer has more than 24 years of experience in the field and has trained Fortune 500 corporations, AmLaw 100 firms, government agencies and litigation service provider organizations.

Cloud computing is unquestionably one of the driving forces of DevOps, as the automation of operations transforms enterprise software development. In his session at DevOps Su...
In demand-intensive mobile and web applications, an emerging pattern is to host the Systems of Engagement in the cloud (for maximum responsiveness) but keep the Systems of Record with the other important business systems in the company datacenter, often on a tightly secured mainframe. But what about the space in between? In this IBM Redpaper publication, we show that the IBM Bluemix cloud platform offers technologies that make it easy for cloud-based SoEs to securely connect to on-premises IBM...
