Local Retailer Beats Big Boxes with Back-to-School Savings for Students

Cartridge World, the world’s leading retailer of eco-friendly ink and toner printer cartridges, is making sure students get a passing grade when it comes to selecting the right printing supplies. In addition to buying college essentials such as text books and computers, a reliable printer and budget-friendly ink or toner are necessary when heading back to school.

“Students are so busy getting ready for college, they don’t have time to research printers,” said Tom McLaughlin, marketing director at Cartridge World North America. “They can save a small fortune if they visit Cartridge World before stopping at a Big Box store. We’ll help students choose the right printer for their needs.”

Cartridge World looks at selling printers differently. Their aim is to sell printers and supplies that make the most sense for customers. “Tech-savvy students probably need a printer that’s Wi-Fi direct and capable of receiving print jobs from smart phones, tablets and laptops while running between classes,” added McLaughlin.

Cartridge World sells a wide selection of printers in addition to ink and toner for nearly every printer on the market. Cartridge World’s eco-friendly printing supplies can save students as much as $50 per year if they use just two sets of inkjet cartridges. Stores also provide student and teacher discounts. Ask participating stores for details.

Cartridge World also offers tips to help students find the best printer to take to college:

1. Determine the cost for ink. The cost of ink can be 10 times as much as the printer.

2. Stay away from printers that use tri-color ink cartridges. The ink costs a fortune because when one color is empty, you need to replace the entire cartridge.

3. Look for reliability. Take expert advice on printer reliability, read reviews and make sure the printer lasts for four years.

With more than 1,400 stores across the globe, Cartridge World is the world’s largest specialty retailer of ink and toner printer cartridges.

Cartridge World is the leading ink and toner retailer and franchisor in the $80 billion printer cartridge industry. The company sells printers, paper, printing supplies and services, and uses state-of-the-art manufacturing processes to build high quality ink and toner cartridges. Cartridge World stores provide a tremendous cost-saving alternative to buying new printer cartridges, offering up to a 30-percent discount over full-priced cartridges. Cartridge World also offers a 100-percent satisfaction guarantee and free delivery to business customers. Ranked in the Top 100 franchises by Entrepreneur Magazine and #79 on Franchise Direct’s Top 100 Global Franchises for 2014 , Cartridge World has more than 1,400 retail locations in over 50 countries.
