Conscious Box, Skyhorse Publishing, and BookShout! Partner to Offer Ebooks in Personal Subscription Box Promotion

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - July 29, 2014) - Best known for their unique approach to conscious consumption, personal subscription service Conscious Box will, for the first time, offer digital editions of classic cookbooks to thousands upon thousands of insanely awesome conscious circle members in their August mailing. For anyone not familiar (where have you been?), Conscious Box partners with brands committed to sustainable business practices and non-GMO ingredients, sending 10-20 products -- from snacks to beauty essentials and more -- directly to subscribers in 100% recycled boxes with BPA-free labels.

Next month, Conscious Box, Skyhorse Publishing and BookShout will partner to offer deluxe digital samples of The Non-GMO Cookbook and The Vegetarian's Bible in each box using custom designed cards featuring an access code, which will allow readers to download one or both deluxe samples. Subscribers who wish to purchase full digital editions of the cookbooks, will be able to do so at a discount, through an exclusive white-labeled Conscious Box micro-site, also powered by BookShout.

James Campbell of Conscious Box notes, "We have the mission at Conscious Box of helping everyone make better decisions with the products they use. If we can help people choose healthier, more sustainable products from ethical brands, we've done our job. People trust us to help them discover those products and consume more consciously, which is why partnering with Bookshout! is a no-brainer. The Conscious Box community is a great audience for The Non-GMO Cookbook and The Vegetarian's Bible."

"Physical books have long been a part of the personal subscription box world," said BookShout! CEO Jason Illian, "and with BookShout's bulk distribution service, digital options are now also available. Conscious Box (sign-up here!) and Skyhorse Publishing are among those involved in creating exciting new channels of distribution for ebooks -- reaching readers where they live. We believe we can expect to see this kind of innovation more and more."
