TULSA, Okla., July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockton Companies will be conducting two separate events – in Tulsa on Aug. 6 and Oklahoma City on Aug. 7 – to inform employers about a new concept that could reduce their historical total costs of work injury expenses by between 30 and 50 percent.
"We are extremely excited to explain to employers how Lockton can guide them through this new concept to yield substantial savings, while producing better medical outcomes for them," said David Lowe, Producer with Lockton Companies. "In addition, for larger employers, the concept will result in more efficient use of capital, as the self-insured retention under this concept will not require collateral as is the case with a deductible."
As of Feb. 1, 2014, all Oklahoma employers can now apply for "Qualified Employer" status to opt out of workers' compensation. Lockton will illustrate to attendees how they can lead employers through this new concept referred to as "the Oklahoma Option" or "the Option," which may lower employers' costs, while improving their employee satisfaction and medical outcomes of injured workers.
"Lockton has substantial experience with an alternative to workers compensation in Texas, as well as expertise in the 'Oklahoma Option,'" said Lowe. "Most importantly, companies should choose the right advisor to help them consider whether to even proceed, and Lockton is the right advisor."
Attendees will hear from Lockton experts Lowe, Chris Jagoda and Keith Rosenblum, as well as an opportunity to meet the carriers including Helen Eaves and Jon Archer from Great American Security Insurance Company, Dick Hinch from Safety National Casualty Corporation, and Jerry Murphy from AmWINS representing the Safety National Casualty Corporation.
Employers can attend either of the following events:

Oklahoma City – Aug. 7

115 W. 5th Street
400 E. Reno Avenue
