CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla., July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. ("IAP" or the "Company") announced the addition of two key executives. Douglas Kitani joined IAP as Chief Executive Officer and Terry DeRosa joined IAP as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Doug will report to the Board of Directors and Terry will report to the CEO and the Board of Directors.
"Doug brings a strategic vision to the Company to navigate it through this challenging period of government austerity, yet increasing threat levels to U.S. interests both here and abroad," said Chairman of the Board, Admiral William "Bud" Flanagan. Mr. Kitani stated, "I am honored to join the IAP team to serve our customers and lead the Company to growth in its core, government services market. IAP now has a strong balance sheet and world-class Board of Directors to support our team in building on IAP's legacy of providing services to U.S. government agencies and allied customers." Mr. Kitani most recently served as head of portfolio strategies for DynCorp International. He has more than 20 years of leadership experience including as a private equity investment and operating executive after starting his career as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot following graduation from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point. Mr. Kitani was also named as a director of the Board of Directors of IAP Global Services, LLC, the parent company of IAP Worldwide Services, Inc.
Regarding Mr. DeRosa, Bud Flanagan added: "A seasoned veteran of over 30 years, executive management experience in Finance and Operations, Terry brings a unique set of leadership skills to our team." DeRosa most recently served as the CFO of Kestrel Enterprises, Inc. which was acquired by the Boeing Company in 2008. Prior to Boeing, he was the President of DRS Technologies, Inc. Electronic Systems group. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a BS in Accounting, and MBA in Finance from the University of Hartford and has completed several management certificate programs. He is also a member of numerous armed forces associations.
