Vegalab and David Selakovic Advocate the Use of All-Natural Specialty Fertilizers

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND -- (Marketwired) -- 07/31/14 -- According to recent studies, some synthetic fertilizers have a significant negative effect on fruit and vegetables by lowering the nutritional content thereof. In addition to that, the use of chemical products bears health risks for users, because getting in contact with substances contained in synthetic fertilizers can lead to significant health issues. Depending on the type and brand of fertilizer, compounds are not just unhealthy, but sometimes even toxic, thus posing a threat to the user, the environment and the end consumer.

Luckily, effective all-natural alternatives are now available, offered by the market leader of the industry, David Selakovic and Vegalab, a manufacturer of sustainable, organic agricultural products based in Geneva, Switzerland. Selakovic advocates the increased use of his company's environmentally friendly products not only to minimize negative effects that synthetic fertilizers generally have, but points out that Vegalab's organic innovations bring along a number of benefits to farmers and gardeners alike. Most chemical fertilizers contain only nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, which are important nutrients, but not enough to fully support optimized crop growth. Vegalab's "Vega Pro" on the other hand is a liquid fertilizer that is applied to fruits, flowers, and vegetables at the beginning of crop growth. On top of the three common macronutrients nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium it contains a variety of secondary nutrients and micronutrients, such as boron, copper, iron, manganese, molybdenum and zinc, providing all of the essential macro- and microelements that plants need throughout their early stages of growth.

Other fertilizers that David Selakovic and his research team in Switzerland have developed include "Brix Boost," a fruit-sweetening fertilizer that improves the overall taste of fruit and vegetables through adding naturally occurring minerals and sugars, or "Color Boost," a product that enhances the colors of flowers and fruits. "Brix Boost" improves the quality of fruits and vegetables thanks to ample amounts of phosphorus and potassium with natural sugars, amino acids, complex carbohydrates, and micronutrients such as mannitol, xylose or stevioside glycoside, while "Color Boost" stimulates the synthesis of materials responsible for the color and development of flowers, through macro elements that dictate shorter maturation times during flowering and fruiting, and also promotes better development of fruit set.

David Selakovic is proud of the state-of-the-art innovations his company has been developing for years: "No other manufacturer shares our technology or our commitment to developing products that use only natural plant extracts and minerals. Every one of our products strives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and encourage sustainability." Thanks to his pioneer spirit and outstanding skills as a team and business leader, Vegalab has become a leading force in the field of sustainable agricultural products and a popular, environmentally friendly alternative for farmers, landscapers and hobby gardeners all over the world. Selakovic, who currently resides in Singapore with his wife Leah, has an international reputation as avid investor and savvy corporate advisor who has created many high-performance teams and has developed innovative strategies and comprehensive business initiatives for a great variety of corporations. In his free time, Selakovic is keen on applying his knowledge to, together with his wife Leah Selakovic, support charities, both within his home community, as well as international organizations.

In his keynote at 19th Cloud Expo, Sheng Liang, co-founder and CEO of Rancher Labs, discussed the technological advances and new business opportunities created by the rapid adoption of containers. With the success of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and various open source technologies used to build private clouds, cloud computing has become an essential component of IT strategy. However, users continue to face challenges in implementing clouds, as older technologies evolve and newer ones like Docker c...
When shopping for a new data processing platform for IoT solutions, many development teams want to be able to test-drive options before making a choice. Yet when evaluating an IoT solution, it’s simply not feasible to do so at scale with physical devices. Building a sensor simulator is the next best choice; however, generating a realistic simulation at very high TPS with ease of configurability is a formidable challenge. When dealing with multiple application or transport protocols, you would be...
Personalization has long been the holy grail of marketing. Simply stated, communicate the most relevant offer to the right person and you will increase sales. To achieve this, you must understand the individual. Consequently, digital marketers developed many ways to gather and leverage customer information to deliver targeted experiences. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Lou Casal, Founder and Principal Consultant at Practicala, discussed how the Internet of Things (IoT) has accelerated our abilit...
As organizations shift towards IT-as-a-service models, the need for managing and protecting data residing across physical, virtual, and now cloud environments grows with it. Commvault can ensure protection, access and E-Discovery of your data – whether in a private cloud, a Service Provider delivered public cloud, or a hybrid cloud environment – across the heterogeneous enterprise. Data is the fuel that drives the machine learning algorithmic engines and ultimately provides the business value. In his session at Cloud Expo, Ed Featherston, a director and senior enterprise architect at Collaborative Consulting, discussed the key considerations around quality, volume, timeliness, and pedigree that must be dealt with in order to properly fuel that engine.
In IT, we sometimes coin terms for things before we know exactly what they are and how they’ll be used. The resulting terms may capture a common set of aspirations and goals – as “cloud” did broadly for on-demand, self-service, and flexible computing. But such a term can also lump together diverse and even competing practices, technologies, and priorities to the point where important distinctions are glossed over and lost.

Detecting internal user threats in the Big Data eco-system is challenging and cumbersome. Many organizations monitor internal usage of the Big Data eco-system using a set of alerts. This is not a scalable process given the increase in the number of alerts with the accelerating growth in data volume and user base. Organizations are increasingly leveraging machine learning to monitor only those data elements that are sensitive and critical, autonomously establish monitoring policies, and to detect...

Given the popularity of the containers, further investment in the telco/cable industry is needed to transition existing VM-based solutions to containerized cloud native deployments. The networking architecture of the solution isolates the network traffic into different network planes (e.g., management, control, and media). This naturally makes support for multiple interfaces in container orchestration engines an indispensable requirement.
