PlusServer Makes Two Acquisitions, Acquires 100% of the Shares in MESH GmbH and Mainlab GmbH

HÜRTH, Germany, July 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

PlusServer takes another step towards the top position in the German hosting market: PlusServer AG announces the 100 percent acquisition of MESH GmbH in Dusseldorf and Mainlab GmbH in Frankfurt.  As a result PlusServer achieved a leading position in the German managed hosting market. In addition, the acquisitions allow PlusServer to expand its offering into managed colocation and cloud services. The two transactions increase PlusServer's revenue by an eight-figure sum.

"Like every company, MESH not only wants to maintain its standards both for customers and employees, but to continually improve them. With PlusServer as our 100 percent shareholders, we can take advantage of the support of a strong financial partner and experienced hosting provider, which will continuously drive the development of our company", explains Claudia Gharavi, who will remain as CEO of MESH GmbH after the acquisition.

Matthias Hennrich, one of the two managing directors of Mainlab, adds: "As all three companies complement each other perfectly in their respective core competencies, there are optimal synergies and business opportunities. There has been a long history of cooperation between PlusServer and Mainlab, so a stronger connection was the next logical step to open up further benefits to the customers of both companies."

Also for PlusServer's CEO Thomas Strohe the acquisition of both companies was a logical step towards the future: "Our strategy is clearly focused on growth", he pointed out. "As all brands benefit from the merger, our growth strategy is optimally supported: The PlusServer brand is complemented by the managed colocation and cloud expertise of MESH and Mainlab. At the same time the acquired companies benefit from our infrastructure expertise, our award-winning data center datadock and our managed hosting expertise."

DevOps is about increasing efficiency, but nothing is more inefficient than building the same application twice. However, this is a routine occurrence with enterprise applications that need both a rich desktop web interface and strong mobile support.
