MONTREAL, July 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- 911 Enable, the leading vendor of E911 solutions for Unified Communications, was chosen by Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) to provide Enhanced 911 (E911) services in Lync Online Dedicated. As part of their trusted relationship, Microsoft will refer clients to 911 Enable to help meet their E911 requirements.
Many states and municipalities have regulations and by-laws governing E911 capabilities for Multi-Line Telecommunications System (MLTS), which includes voice enabled Lync. By working with 911 Enable, Lync Online Dedicated customers can now fully comply with these legislative E911 requirements.
Designed with Next Generation 911 (NG911) functionality, 911 Enable's solutions natively interoperate with Lync to route 911 calls over IP data networks, track endpoints, and deliver a caller's precise location information and callback number to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) in their area.
