Many states and municipalities have regulations and by-laws governing E911 capabilities for Multi-Line Telecommunications System (MLTS), which includes voice enabled Lync. By working with 911 Enable, Lync Online Dedicated customers can now fully comply with these legislative E911 requirements.

Designed with Next Generation 911 (NG911) functionality, 911 Enable's solutions natively interoperate with Lync to route 911 calls over IP data networks, track endpoints, and deliver a caller's precise location information and callback number to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) in their area.

"911 Enable has proven to be a reliable E911 partner for our existing Lync on-premises customers and we look forward to working together on Lync Online Dedicated," says Jamie Stark, Lync Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft. "We are happy to be able to refer Lync Online Dedicated customers to 911 Enable, knowing they will get the proper guidance and support needed to ensure their E911 requirements are met."

"We are excited to extend our partnership with Microsoft," says Lev Deich, Managing Director for 911 Enable. "Most hosted voice solutions on the market today have an E911 feature gap which can impact compliance and introduce significant liability, cost, and complexity to the end customer. By working with Microsoft, we are addressing this problem and ensuring that Lync Online Dedicated customers have access to the same E911 features available on the Lync Server on-premises platform."
