NASHUA, N.H., Aug. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SnoopWall (www.snoopwall.com), the world's first counterveillance software company, announced the launch of a public awareness campaign at the 2014 MISS TEEN USA® Pageant (www.missteenusa.com) today. This campaign continues the partnership between SnoopWall and Miss Teen USA 2013, Cassidy Wolf.
Wolf, who is attending the pageant preparations in Paradise Island, Bahamas, was a personal victim of cyber-exploitation. Wolf's smartphone applications, including her Facebook and Instagram accounts were breached and despite using the latest antivirus software her computer's webcam and microphone were hacked. She is now a strong supporter of SnoopWall.
She is passionate about educating the 2014 MISS TEEN USA® Pageant contestants and officials about how to protect themselves from "cybersnoops" and online predators while using their smartphones and tablet computers. Her tips can be viewed at teentips.snoopwall.com.
In addition to advocating the use of SnoopWall, which is a new type of essential mobile security software, Wolf also presented a specially designed, hackproof, waterproof, and spyproof case donated by SnoopWall and PrivacyCase™ (privacycase.snoopwall.com) to each of the 51 contestants at the pageant's orientation.
Wolf said "I thought I was protected by antivirus and other security software, but, in fact, I wasn't. SnoopWall's privacy software now helps me stay safe. It's free, easy to use and helps families, especially teens, become more aware of the dangers of being spied upon, like I was."
"If a 19 year old hacker can break into Cassidy Wolf's computer and spy on her, what do you think serious cyber crime rings are doing when you try to access your bank account from your phone?" said Gary S. Miliefsky, SnoopWall CEO. He went on to say "with antivirus failing, with apps spying, mobile devices are very risky for ANY member of your family to take into private places (shower, bathroom, etc.) and to use for private transactions (banking, ecommerce, etc.)."
This public awareness campaign also coincides with the global release of Privacy App™ for Android platform mobile devices available starting August 5, 2014 at the BlackHat 2014 hackers' conference in Las Vegas, NV. SnoopWall developers plan Apple iOS and Windows releases in September 2014. To sign up for notifications about product download availability, please visit http://www.snoopwall.com.

This is driving the need for robust wireless coexistence for multiple radios to ensure throughput performance and th...

Fact is, enterprises have significant legacy voice infrastructure that’s costly to replace with pure IP solutions. How can we bring this analog infrastructure into our shiny new cloud applications? There are proven methods to bind both legacy voice applications and traditional PSTN audio into cloud-based applications and services at a carrier scale. Some of the most successful implementations leverage WebRTC, WebSockets, SIP and other open source technologies. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Da...

If you’re responsible for an application that depends on the data or functionality of various IoT endpoints – either sensors or devices – your brand reputation depends on the security, reliability, and compliance of its many integrated parts. If your application fails to deliver the expected business results, your customers and partners won't care if that failure stems from the code you developed or from a component that you integrated. What can you do to ensure that the endpoints work as expect...

I'm a lonely sensor. I spend all day telling the world how I'm feeling, but none of the other sensors seem to care. I want to be connected. I want to build relationships with other sensors to be more useful for my human. I want my human to understand that when my friends next door are too hot for a while, I'll soon be flaming. And when all my friends go outside without me, I may be left behind. Don't just log my data; use the relationship graph. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Ryan Boyd, Engi...

What do technology providers need to do to make their offerings more compelling? How should enterprise IT executives and buyers define their focus, needs, and roadmap, and communicate that clearly to the providers?
