BOCA RATON, Fla., Aug. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- All-Tag Security America, Inc. announced today that it has filed a lawsuit against Checkpoint Systems, Inc. (NYSE: CKP) alleging patent infringement of its resonance security label, a non-reusable anti-shoplifting product.
All-Tag, a leading provider of anti-theft security labels and tags, alleges that Checkpoint Systems copied All-Tag's unique resonance security label design with its Micro EP PST label, violating the ALL-Tag patent and profiting from ALL-Tag's invention. The evidence in the suit alleges that Checkpoint Systems refused to halt infringement after repeated attempts by All-Tag to resolve the issue amicably. Checkpoint Systems alleged violation has caused ALL-Tag substantial and irreparable injury and damages in excess of $50,000,000. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the case number is 9:14-cv-81004-DMM.
