TINTON FALLS, NJ -- (Marketwired) -- 08/06/14 -- Business Facilities, a national publication and website focused on site selection and economic development, has released the full list of its 2014 State Rankings on BusinessFacilities.com. The complete report can be found at http://businessfacilities.com/2014-business-facilities-rankings-report/.
The 10th Annual Rankings Report looks at state rankings across more than 30 categories, including Best Business Climate, Economic Growth Potential, Best Infrastructure and Employment Leaders.
Louisiana claimed the top spot for Best Business Climate in this year's rankings. "Name a growth sector -- digital media, advanced manufacturing, IT/software -- and Louisiana has a specific program geared to welcome new players, with a proven track record of successful startups," said Business Facilities Editor in Chief Jack Rogers.
"It's no surprise that Utah and Texas, two of the business-friendliest states in the nation, round out the top three in our Best Business Climate ranking," Rogers continued. "But rising stars Tennessee and Indiana, our fourth- and fifth-ranked states in Best Business Climate, show no signs of abandoning their upward mobility in this flagship category."
