David Sable, Global CEO of Y&R, announced today that he is promoting Shelley Diamond to Chief Client Officer of Y&R. Shelley was previously Worldwide Managing Partner of Y&R and is a member of Sable’s Global Executive Committee.
In this new role, Shelley will help identify, develop and migrate Y&R’s best practices - and best talent - around the entire network, so that every one of Y&R’s clients benefits from the agency’s global resources, knowledge, experience and talent pool. She will also focus on organic growth, whether it is by driving collaboration across geography or discipline, making sure that the entire Y&R network is training their people in the most forward-thinking ways, or by delivering best-in-class programs that build a client's business across all channels.
In Shelley’s 23 years at Y&R, she has helped build the Xerox, Dell and Campbell’s teams. Her relationship with Xerox spans 25 years and 2 agencies, Campbell’s for over 16 years, helping Y&R to become one of their two lead agencies, and she was the WPP team leader of Y&R’s Dell assignment. Additionally, Shelley led Y&R New York from 2007 to 2010.
“Shelley is the absolute perfect person for this role and has been exemplifying every day of her 23 years at the agency what it means to be a client's most valued partner,” said Sable. “At a time when we have an unrivaled set of proprietary tools and resources, - from BAV to Exploring - as well as a highly differentiated offering - our unique configuration of Y&R and VML capabilities, our digital product innovation agency iconmobile, our Sparkplug innovation incubator, and our shopper and retail marketing LabStore network - we can truly help our clients engage their customers with great, innovative work that creates opportunities for them and, as a result, for us.”
“Shelley has a great love of our business, our clients and our people that infuses all that she does. Unleashing her enthusiasm and her expertise will make a real difference in how we serve our clients,” Sable added.
“I’m honored and energized to take on this new role,” said Diamond. "We have some amazing and dedicated people at Y&R, and a spectacular roster of clients who we are fortunate to partner with.”
