SURREY, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/07/14 -- Brighton College, a community-oriented career college, is inviting the public to their annual Community Appreciation BBQ Event on August 16th, 2014. The event will feature an outdoor barbeque, entertainment, a photo booth, and prizes including iPad minis and scholarships. All proceeds from barbeque sales will be donated to the Surrey Food Bank.
The event will take place at Central City Mall, at the Outdoor Plaza at 13450 - 102 Avenue, in Surrey, British Columbia, on Saturday, August 16th, 2014 from 11:00am until 3:00pm. The event is open to the public, and offers everyone the opportunity to enter to win one of the many prizes available.
Sonic 104.9FM, a local radio station, will be on location, and sponsors such as Metro News, Glacier Media, Sonic 104.9FM, Barangay North Vancouver Filipino Community Center, Blackpress, and Starbucks have donated items as prizes.
During the event, Brighton College will be honouring students, alumni and special community partners. In addition to donating proceeds from the barbeque sales to the Surrey Food Bank, Brighton College will contribute an additional donation.
