Bay Area Assyrians Unite in Solidarity

Plead for Help in Stopping the Genocide in Iraq

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/08/14 --

Who:

Rallying united, a coalition of Bay Area Assyrian groups, organizations and churches are assembling in San Francisco to put a halt to the Holocaust happening in Iraq today. The genocide and ethnic cleansing of Iraqi ethnic and religious minorities has included Assyrians (aka Chaldeans and Syriacs), Yazdis, Turkomans and Shabaks. The outrageous violence must be stopped. This coalition is demanding protection and the establishment of a safe haven in the Nineveh Plain for these persecuted indigenous people -- many of whom have lived in the region for over 2000 years.

Since invading the region, ISIS has been freely beheading and killing ethnic groups. They have painted the Arabic letter "N" on the doors of Christian homes. It stands for "Nazarene," and references the faith of that household -- Christians. These Christians and other minorities are then told to either renounce their faith, convert to Islam and pay a fee, or face beheading. They are given 24 hours to decide their fate. Victims of this Holocaust in Iraq are living an ongoing nightmare -- where any moment can be their last. ISIS's new tact has been tying small children, 1,500 of them, to the hoods of military vehicles serving as human shields. Ongoing are the savage rapes, over and over again, of young girls -- daughters -- in front of their fathers.

Iraqi minority groups, including Assyrians, have written countless letters to leaders both here and abroad. These efforts have resulted in no significant action by the United Nations or the United States -- meanwhile, thousands continue to be slaughtered.

For basic one-to-one voice or video calling solutions, WebRTC has proven to be a very powerful technology. IoT generates lots of temporal data. But how do you unlock its value? You need to discover patterns that are repeatable in vast quantities of data, understand their meaning, and implement scalable monitoring across multiple data streams in order to monetize the discoveries and insights.
