SAN MATEO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/11/14 -- Space-Time Insight, the leading provider of next-generation situational intelligence solutions, today announced the acquisition of EPS-M from Utilicase, advanced asset analytics software for more than 85 variants of utility generation, transmission and distribution assets across 18 asset classes.
EPS-M, which was developed in conjunction with, and has been deployed at, several leading utilities in North America, has received industry recognition for its research-driven approach to asset analytics. The software will be integrated into Space-Time Insight's market-leading Asset Intelligence application, broadening its portfolio of models for different asset classes and types and enabling even deeper analytical capabilities.
"The risk metrics in Asset Intelligence are based on deep analytics that drive sustainable asset management, significantly improving capital planning, justification and allocation," said Ajay Madwesh, VP Utilities IBU and Solutions at Space-Time Insight. "With the addition of EPS-M, Asset Intelligence will offer utilities the most comprehensive solution to analyze, assess and visualize risk across their entire portfolio of assets in real-time."

- Circuit Breakers
- Circuit Switchers
- Disconnect Switches
- Poles (Wood and Metal)
- Communications Equipment
- Protection and Control Systems
- Series Capacitors
- Conductors and Cables
- Tap Changers
Asset Intelligence from Space-Time Insight is a situational intelligence application that correlates and analyzes data from any number of business, operational and external systems -- including asset management systems -- and provides a 360-degree understanding of assets and asset classes. Using Space-Time Insight's patented spatial-temporal-nodal (STN) technology, Asset Intelligence analyzes and visualizes asset lifespan and risk, accurately predicts failure, and simulates the impact of asset replacement strategies.
A version of Space-Time Insight's Asset Intelligence application containing EPS-M will be available later in 2014.

All clouds are not equal. To succeed in a DevOps context, organizations should plan to develop/deploy apps across a choice of on-premise and public clouds simultaneously depending on the business needs. This is where the concept of the Lean Cloud comes in - resting on the idea that you often need to relocate your app modules over their life cycles for both innovation and operational efficiency in the cloud. In his session at @DevOpsSummit at19th Cloud Expo, Valentin (Val) Bercovici, CTO of So...
