Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties Joins the RESAAS Platform

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - August 11, 2014) - RESAAS Services Inc. (CSE: RSS), The Real Estate Social Network™, is pleased to announce that Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices | California Properties has joined the Platform.

With more than $12 billion in annual sales volume, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties (BHHSCA) has grown to over 3,000 agents in more than 60 offices serving the Southern California market including Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego, Riverside and San Bernardino. Being one of the top five brokerages in the nation, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties has completed over 14,000 transactions in the last year offering a full menu of services including relocation services.

"The way agents find and communicate with buyers and the way transactions are conducted today have changed significantly due to the ever-changing landscape of technology," said Bruce Mulhearn, President of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices | California Properties. "Introducing the RESAAS Platform will allow our agents to take advantage of new technology, encouraging them to make connections with agents on a global basis and giving them the ability to streamline their social media strategy."

When using RESAAS, each agent at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties will receive his or her own corporate-branded agent profile page, and will be connected into an exclusive group to communicate, generate referrals, and stay connected with all of the agents and offices within their brokerage family. Further, each agent will benefit from the other social marketing aspects of the RESAAS platform including the ability to upload and market listings to a large, global audience and enhanced social media synchronization. All of this allowing agents to spend more time with their clients and less time at their desk in front of a computer.

"Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices | California Properties understands that providing their agents with forward-thinking technology is a must in order to maintain their high levels of customer service and expertise," said Padraig Cullen, VP of Sales at RESAAS. "When their technology advisory team saw the RESAAS Platform, it was clear that the network would empower their agents to generate more referral business, while also expanding their social sphere."

With Warren Buffet as the Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., and Earl Lee as CEO of HSF Affiliates LLC, the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices real estate network has over 47,000 sales professionals in 1,400 offices throughout the country. The brand, among the few organizations entrusted to use the world-renowned Berkshire Hathaway name, brings to the real estate market a definitive mark of stability, strength, quality and innovation.

Both RESAAS and the larger Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Franchise were named finalists in the Inman News 2014 Innovator Awards. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices was named a finalist in the "Most Innovative Brokerage or Franchise" category and RESAAS was named a finalist in the "Most Innovative Real Estate App, Tool or Vendor" category.
