SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- A recent release from the developers at Jundroo LLC makes the SimpleRockets app available to Intel® Atom™ tablets for Android*. The creative space exploration app lets users design their own ships and visit distant planets.
Virtual astronauts can choose from a variety of shells, boosters and other gizmos to create the perfect vehicle for space travel. They can then blast off and visit any planet they desire, with simulated interplanetary environments and orbits so searching the solar system is surprisingly realistic. The game challenges players to see who can go the fastest, fly the farthest and travel the most efficiently on the least amount of fuel. Players learn about rocket science and astrodymamics with informative text and glossy graphics.
This latest optimization with Android* tablets offers the spaceship discoveries to a larger gaming audience. The sleek, lightweight designs and fast processors provide solid functionality to the intelligent interactivity. As an Intel® Software Partner, Jundroo had access to a broad portfolio of business and technical tools through the Intel® Developer Zone.
"We wanted to create an app that enlightened users to the vast wealth of knowledge we have about our solar system and beyond," says Andrew Garrison of J<ins cite="mailto:Miranda%20Culp" datetime="2014-07-21T11:21">u</ins>ndroo LLC. "The Simple Rockets app allows Android* users to control design aspects, discover all kinds of interesting information and complete for the best virtual engineering."

As the world moves toward more DevOps and Microservices, application deployment to the cloud ought to become a lot simpler. The Microservices architecture, which is the basis of many new age distributed systems such as OpenStack, NetFlix and so on, is at the heart of Cloud Foundry - a complete developer-oriented Platform as a Service (PaaS) that is IaaS agnostic and supports vCloud, OpenStack and AWS. Serverless computing is revolutionizing computing. In his session at 19th Cloud Expo, Raghav...
