LEHI, UT -- (Marketwired) -- 08/11/14 -- WingCash, LLC, today announced winning Best Marketing Campaign for their work with American Fork City, UT's Buy Local efforts. Designed by WingCash Founder and President/CEO Bradley Wilkes and American Fork Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Debby Lauret, the campaign was a special collaboration that included a billboard on I-15, promotion in several publications, tabletop displays, and social media posts.
"We're honored to be the anchor for this Buy Local effort, and thrilled that the campaign exceeded our expectations," said Wilkes. "Local merchants are receptive and excited to participate when the results are increased consumer traffic and sales. Using WingCash local merchants used the power of their branded cash to encourage consumers to spend locally. Consumers get free cash, businesses get increased traffic and sales, and the local community grows -- everyone wins."
"Congratulations to the American Fork Chamber of Commerce and WingCash for their successful campaign," said American Fork Mayor James H. Hadfield. "In times such as these, we must remember that buying local is a powerful way to keep the local economy going strong and growing. Partnerships such as these are essential in growing our city's ability to engage our citizens in alternate ways."
Utah's 80+ Chambers of Commerce held their annual Summer Convention on July 30-31 in Vernal, UT. Various chamber chapters submitted displays showcasing the "Best of" for several categories, including Best Website, Best Newsletter and more, and the Chambers voted. American Fork won Best Marketing for the Get Moola! Shop Local Campaign created by WingCash and featuring offers from American Fork businesses and members of the American Fork Chamber of Commerce.
The campaign's purpose was to encourage consumers to spend locally, and centered on the Get Moola! billboard on I-15 and both journalistic content and ad displays in the Steel Days Magazine, The North County Connection Magazine and the Shop North County Magazine. It was also featured on the American Fork Chamber website, the Shop North County website, and American Fork City's annual Steel Days celebration. Email and social media campaigns played a part as well.
"No other Chamber at the Conference had any campaign with the breadth and depth of the Get Moola! Shop Local Campaign," said Debby Lauret, Executive Director, American Fork Chamber of Commerce. "WingCash brought an innovative new platform to the table called the WingCash eWallet System, which allowed businesses to distribute branded cash offers electronically in both traditional and new media channels. It was a groundbreaking way to encourage consumers to spend locally within American Fork, and we're eager to continue working with them."
