BOULDER, Colo., Aug. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Clip Interactive announced their first international customer through a partnership with Sphera Holding, an elite Italian radio holding company, to bring innovative interactive radio to five Sphera stations.
This is the first time that Clip Interactive has provided its unique interactive radio apps for international radio stations. As with U.S. partnerships, the new Sphera Clip Radio-powered apps will enable listeners to interact with and respond to all elements of the broadcast or online stream by downloading music, entering contests, accessing special offers, taking polls and responding to relevant advertiser messaging.
"The continuing importance of radio and the value of interactivity in the global market cannot be underestimated," said Bill Freund, chief revenue officer at Clip Interactive. "Around the world, terrestrial radio is utilized to broadcast new music, sports, news and more, but like many stations in the U.S., international radio stations are struggling to engage with their listeners beyond just listening. Our technology solves this problem, and enhances the radio experience to meet increased expectations of the digital and mobile savvy listener."
Beginning in the fall, interactive mobile apps will be available on Sphera radio stations in northeast Italy, Radio Company and Radio Padova, with additional apps available for Sphera's other radio brands, Radio 80, Radio Easy Network and Radio Valbelluna soon after.
"Since we saw the interview with Clip Interactive on MarkRamseyMedia.com, we were interested in this disruptive technology, which allows terrestrial radio stations to compete with the internet music services for the first time," said Luca Pagan, ICT Director of Sphera Holding. "Our company strives to be on the leading edge of new and inventive technology, so we are looking forward to optimizing our radio stations' mobile presence with Clip Interactive."

Economics, speed, performance, accessibility, administrative needs and security all play a vital role in dictating your approach to the cloud. Without knowing the right questions to ask, you could wind up paying for capacity you'll never need or underestimating the resources required to run your applications.
