  1. Look good and feel good: Global Vacation Ventures knows that many travelers feel like they must choose between comfort and class when they are choosing what to wear on their plane ride but that simply is not true. It is important to be comfortable on the flight, especially long flights, but there are many clothing items that offer comfort and style at the same time. Flats are a great choice since they are attractive, slip off easily at security, and offer comfort over many other shoe types. There are also many different clothing items that incorporate all that any traveler would want in a travel outfit, such as harem pants, so that travelers do not have to settle for sweatpants and sneakers. It is also important to remember that even in the warm summer months planes can be a bit chilly, so a nice sweater is a great item to have.
  2. Dominate the airport: Checking in at the airport can take forever, but there are ways to make it easier. For travelers who are vacationing in pairs or groups, the smartest thing that they can do is divide the necessary tasks and get through everything quickly. Have one traveler get ahold of all the passports to go check in while other group members drop off the bags. This can save a ton of time and get everyone onto the plane quickly.
  3. Eat Well: In the summertime, eating heavy foods can often make travelers feel listless and sluggish in the warm weather, so eating light and healthy is crucial to keeping energy high when traveling. Global Vacation Ventures notes that if travelers request vegan meals on long flights, they will get more vegetables and fruit in their meals and can avoid those heavier alternatives. Additionally, it is important to bring along lots of water and healthy snacks. Protein bars and dried fruit are both good choices.

Summer travel is some of the best travel that there is, so when travelers are getting ready to head for crystal clear waters and sandy beaches, they should also plan on making their transportation process part of the fun. Global Vacation Ventures knows that these tips will let all travelers enjoy their vacations to the fullest extent. For more information on the best ways to travel this summer visit

I was curious to see if the same theme would still resonate 365 days later and what, if any, changes I would see in the content presented.

Just over a week ago I received a long and loud sustained applause for a presentation I delivered at this year’s Cloud Expo in Santa Clara. Over the next few days I had many more meaningful conversations and was not only happy with the results but also learned a few new things. Here is everything I learned in those three days distilled into three short points.
DevOps is about increasing efficiency, but nothing is more inefficient than building the same application twice. However, this is a routine occurrence with enterprise applications that need both a rich desktop web interface and strong mobile support. With recent technological advances from Isomorphic Software and others, rich desktop and tuned mobile experiences can now be created with a single codebase – without compromising functionality, performance or usability.
