EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Aug. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems, North America's favorite laundry facilities management service company, announced today its acquisition of American Meter & Appliance. This acquisition expands WASH's footprint into the Pacific Northwest region in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho and Montana.
"The acquisition of American Meter & Appliance gives WASH an opportunity to re-enter the market in the Pacific Northwest. We already have a deep familiarity with the marketplace and with this added density, we can maximize synergies with our existing branch office in Vancouver, Canada," says Adam Coffey, WASH's president and CEO. "American Meter's long history and solid reputation within the region makes this an ideal acquisition opportunity and important milestone in our national expansion strategy."
With a combined 123 years of experience in providing laundry services to the multifamily housing market, WASH and American Meter & Appliance both have roots as family owned and operated businesses. Moreover, they have shared values and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
"WASH was a friendly competitor for many years and now that the time has come to sell the business, we are confident that they will continue to deliver the same high quality services that American Meter & Appliance has become known for," commented Duke Vogt, president of American Meter & Appliance.
As part of its five-state expansion, WASH will operate branch offices in Seattle and Anchorage along with additional service outlets throughout the region.
