FAIRFAX, Va., Aug. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sheehy Auto Stores, Inc. raised $150,000 to benefit the American Heart Association, while exceeding its goal of selling 5,000 automobiles in 50 days as part of the company's annual Sheehy 5000 sales event.
"Our annual Sheehy 5000 event is unique in the industry, combining the biggest sales event in the Mid-Atlantic with a great fund-raising effort from our employees and customers," said Vince Sheehy, President and CEO of Sheehy Auto Stores. Internally, more than 100 back-office employees participated in Lunch & Learn events where they received CPR training and other heart-healthy tips.
"We appreciate the Sheehy Auto Group leadership, employees, partners and customers for their support of the American Heart Association's mission," said Michelle Nostheide, Vice President of Marketing at AHA. "The awareness and the funds raised will make a direct impact on the heart health of the people in our communities and will save lives."
