Ubiquity Announces 2014 Second Quarter Business Update

IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ubiquity, Inc. (OTCBB: UBIQ) ("Ubiquity" or the "Company"), a technology development and licensing company that holds an extensive portfolio of patents across multiple technology market verticals, today announced its second quarter 2014 business update.

2014 Second Quarter Highlights

  • Ubiquity announced a $150M LOI with Amtec for Asian development and distribution of Sprocket;
  • Internal beta testing of proprietary Sprocket software commenced;
  • Company created Board Committees as it takes necessary steps for future NASDAQ uplisting;
  • Announced planned launch of GiftSender™ mobile application and the Company's first global smart card product designed for the $110 Billion gift card market;
  • Appointed industry veteran James Nelson to Board of Directors;
  • Acquired and closed social music platform Monkeybars, Inc.;
  • Continued IP and Product Development in anticipation of licensing and revenue production;
  • Ramped business development efforts to drive Ubiquity Studios projects;
  • Company raised $2,628,205 during the quarter for expansion and working capital purposes;
  • Net Intangible Assets for the second quarter increased $2,112,718, primarily from the acquisition of the social music platform Monkey Bars, Inc.

This additional space will allow us to increase our sales, marketing and engineering staff in order to meet the anticipated demand of Ubiquity's products, including Sprocket."
