ATLANTA, Aug. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Payments Inc. (NYSE: GPN), one of the largest worldwide providers of payment solutions, participated in today's "Draft Day" at the newly-opened Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School in Midtown Atlanta. Leaders from Global Payments and nearly 40 other top Atlanta businesses drafted teams of four students to work entry-level jobs in the upcoming school year as part of the school's Corporate Work Study Program.
Through the Corporate Work Study Program, each student carries a full load of classes and works five full days a month in a corporate work setting. Students' earnings will pay the majority of the cost of their rigorous college-prep education at Cristo Rey Atlanta.
