ROCKINGHAM, N.C., Aug. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- It was announced today that the Stoneleigh Estate of former Virginia Governor Thomas B. Stanley will be on the Auction Block on September 27, 2014.

The Stoneleigh Estate was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.  It consists of 25 rooms and over 20,000 heated square feet.  The Estate is located at 375 Edgewood Drive in Stanleytown, Virginia.  It is a Tudor Revival style with fabulous gardens and scenic views overlooking the Smith River.  Construction of the Estate was started in 1929 and completed in 1932.  The gardens were redesigned in 1961 by renowned landscape architect Charles Gillette.  The formal gardens were recently updated in the spring of 2014 by Chip Callaway, of Callaway and Associates.  European Roses were placed in the gardens to suit the Estate by Witherspoon Rose Culture.  Stoneleigh Estate was on the Historic Garden Week of Virginia tour in April of 2014.

The Firm of Iron Horse Auction Company, Inc. of North Carolina has been chosen to conduct this important auction marketing event.  In addition to the home, a large volume of antiques that were placed in the home by the current owner will be sold.  The antiques were purchased at the auction of Chinqua Penn Plantation in Reidsville, NC.  Chinqua Penn was the residence of Betsy and Jeff Penn, the former owner of the Penn Tobacco Company and the Niagra Power Company.

The auction of the real estate will be conducted online only with a live ending at the property on Saturday, September 27th at 2pm.  The personal property will be online only and will not have a live ending.  It will end on September 25th at 1pm.  Real estate inspections will be September 6th and 13th from 1pm to 4pm or by appointment.  Personal property inspections will be September 10th and 22nd from 10am to 4pm.

Both SaaS vendors and SaaS buyers are going “all-in” to hyperscale IaaS platforms such as AWS, which is disrupting the SaaS value proposition. Why should the enterprise SaaS consumer pay for the SaaS service if their data is resident in adjacent AWS S3 buckets? If both SaaS sellers and buyers are using the same cloud tools, automation and pay-per-transaction model offered by IaaS platforms, then why not host the “shrink-wrapped” software in the customers’ cloud? Further, serverless computing, cl...

IoT is at the core or many Digital Transformation initiatives with the goal of re-inventing a company's business model. We all agree that collecting relevant IoT data will result in massive amounts of data needing to be stored. However, with the rapid development of IoT devices and ongoing business model transformation, we are not able to predict the volume and growth of IoT data. And with the lack of IoT history, traditional methods of IT and infrastructure planning based on the past do not app...

Without lifecycle traceability and visibility across the tool chain, stakeholders from Planning-to-Ops have limited insight and answers to who, what, when, why and how across the DevOps lifecycle. This impacts the ability to deliver high quality software at the needed velocity to drive positive business outcomes. More and more brands have jumped on the IoT bandwagon. We have an excess of wearables – activity trackers, smartwatches, smart glasses and sneakers, and more that track seemingly endless datapoints. However, most consumers have no idea what “IoT” means. Creating more wearables that track data shouldn't be the aim of brands; delivering meaningful, tangible relevance to their users should be. We're in a period in which the IoT pendulum is still swinging. Initially, it swung toward "smart for smart...
