Neurotechnology Releases Latest Update to NCheck Biometric Time and Attendance Software

NCheck Bio Attendance Version 2.1 from Neurotechnology supports fingerprint and face recognition on Windows PCs and Android devices and has a new web interface

VILNIUS, Lithuania, Aug. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Neurotechnology, a provider of high-precision biometric identification technologies, today announced the release of NCheck Bio Attendance 2.1, an easy-to-use software solution that utilizes fingerprint or face biometrics for tracking of time and attendance. Using biometrics for time and attendance tracking is fast and convenient because it doesn't require employees to carry RFID tokens or remember PINs or passwords. NCheck Bio Attendance is distinct from many other biometric time-attendance solutions, as the software is not tied to any particular hardware and it is more flexible, enabling installation on standard Windows PCs and off-the shelf Android devices. All installations can be connected to work as a single system, enabling the use of multiple check-in points or attendance kiosks around work sites, facilities or even at concerts, clubs and events.

NCheck Bio Attendance uses the latest biometric fingerprint and face identification algorithms from Neurotechnology to quickly and accurately identify an individual and log their attendance data. It enables check-in and check-out using basic PC webcams, the built-in cameras on Android devices or 50 different fingerprint scanner models. It can be used in standalone or network-based systems and users may review their attendance data using a web browser.

New features in NCheck Bio Attendance 2.1 include:

  • Fingerprint and face recognition support – users can be identified using fingerprints or faces.
  • Support for Android devices – Both face and fingerprint recognition now can be used in off-the shelf Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Google Nexus 7.
  • Custom reporting capabilities – Time and attendance system administrators can now create their own custom reports for better integration with existing payroll systems.
  • Web user interface – Time and attendance system users can conveniently access attendance data via a web browser and review historical check-in and check-out data.

The client-server system is backward compatible to support upgrades from NCheck Bio Attendance 2.0 or earlier NCheck Finger Attendance databases. The software can be installed on a desktop computer or laptop (PC) running Microsoft Windows or on Android devices. It may also be used in kiosk systems that use mounted Android devices or Microsoft Windows PC hardware running Windows with mounted fingerprint scanners or webcams.

The fast-operating software is based on Neurotechnology's reliable face and fingerprint recognition engines. A 30-day trial with full functionality is available for download and evaluation.
