VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/18/14 -- Riverside Resources Inc. ("Riverside" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: RRI)(PINK SHEETS: RVSDF)(FRANKFURT: R99) is pleased to announce that Dr. Greg Myers has joined Riverside's management team as the Company's Vice President of Exploration. Dr. Myers is a Professional Geologist with over 35 years of experience in the mining industry. Prior to joining Riverside, Dr. Myers was most recently working in Mexico and Nicaragua as the President and CEO of Caza Gold. His earlier roles included VP, Business Development at Pacific Northwest Capital, President of Mystery Creek Resources and Project Manager/Consulting Geologist for Fire River Gold Corp. Dr. Myers was also the Manager of Mine Exploration for BHP Minerals at the Tintaya copper-gold mine in Peru. During his three year tenure the mine reserves there increased from 48 million tonnes to more than 170 million tonnes. Dr. Myers holds a Ph.D. in geology from Washington State University and a M.Sc. from the University of Alaska.

Dr. Myers has designed and implemented many successful exploration and mine feasibility programs in Mexico, Peru, and North America for precious and base metal mineralization, working for multiple firms including Phelps Dodge, Kennecott, Newmont, and several junior companies. During his career he has been involved with the discovery of three gold mines and significant resource expansion at several gold and copper mine properties in Alaska, Nevada, New Mexico, Mexico, and Peru.

Riverside's President and CEO, John-Mark Staude, stated: "We are pleased to add Greg to our team. He brings exceptional knowledge, language skills, and commitment to discovery that fit well with Riverside's drive to own high quality mineral deposits. We are delighted to get this depth of added experience as we move forward with fully funded partner exploration projects in Canada and Mexico. With the Swift Katie Program preparing to begin in August and then the Penoles gold-silver vein targets to get some of their first drill tests, having Greg on board comes at a perfect time. We are very pleased to continue on schedule and budget toward delivering to shareholders high quality exploration opportunities with limited risk. We welcome Greg aboard."

The company would also like to note that Howard Davies resigned from his role as VP, Exploration to pursue personal interests.
