TAYLOR, Mich., Aug. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Taylor, Mich.-based Atlas Oil Company announced today the opening of its 4th transloading site in Evans, Colorado. This site will initially service the crude oil market, with the ability to handle fuels, lubes and other oil field materials. The company's other sites are located in Albuquerque, NM; La Feria, TX and Monahans, TX. The site is on the Union Pacific Railroad (a class 1 railroad) and the crude is being produced from the expanding Niobrara Shale. Atlas Oil Company is a 2014 recipient of Union Pacific's prestigious Pinnacle Award, having Zero NARS in 2013.
"We plan to start shipping manifest (single cars) of crude while developing a strategy to expand to unit train shipments as the basin grows," said Scott Swanson, Director of Business Development. "The timing of the opening is ideal as it also complements our frac-fueling business and soon-to-be crude hauling operations in the area."
As our domestic oil production industry continues to grow, Atlas is prepared to support drilling and exploration companies with their fuel and transportation needs. Atlas can be a single source provider for oilfield services.
Atlas' Oilfield Services include:
