DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Aug. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- As part of its continuing support of the growing gluten-free community, The Gluten Free Marketing Group will hold its second annual Secaucus Gluten & Allergen Free Expo on September 6th and 7th at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ.
The Expo will feature some very special guests:
- Registered Dietitian Tamara Freuman will be teaching "Beyond Gluten Free/Dairy Free: Meet the Low FODMAP diet," presented by Green Valley Organics Lactose Free. "Green Valley Organics makes the most FODMAP-friendly yogurt I've encountered," said Freuman.
- M.S. Nutritionist, Food Scientist at Goya Foods, and Celiac MeriTerese Racanelli will be teaching "Can your Gluten Free Diet cause other health problems?" "With a growing population of Americans who follow a gluten-free diet, and the need for good nutrition, Goya offers more choices for attendees at the GFAF Expo," said Racanelli.
- Gluten-Free expert Kathy Smart will be teaching "Gluten-Free Belly Be Gone." Smart will reveal hidden reasons why losing that "gluten-free belly" can be challenging, and share her secrets to shedding those pounds once and for all.
The Expo will allow attendees to sample hundreds of gluten-free products and try before they buy, in addition to receiving coupons, discounted products available for purchase, informative classes related to the gluten and allergen-free lifestyle, and the chance to meet their favorite food manufacturers, authors, and bloggers.
The event attracts the celiac community, those with gluten sensitivities, autoimmune/inflammatory diseases, and autism. Athletes and the health conscious also benefit from the Expo.
All vendors at the Expo are 100% gluten-free, and many will also showcase products free from the top eight allergens: milk, egg, peanut, tree nut, fish, shellfish, soy, and wheat. The Expo also offers personal care products, vitamins and supplements, and green household cleaning alternatives.
The Expo will also include a dedicated area featuring nut-free products and a special area for gluten-free kids. Allergen-savvy health care practitioners will be available to answer medical questions. Guests can attend free lectures, connect with gluten and allergen-free restaurants, associated non-profits and more.
Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. A one-day ticket is $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
