CARLSBAD, Calif., Aug. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- SEACOMP, Inc. welcomes Josh Nelson to the team as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Nelson will be responsible for the company's finance, accounting, and operations departments on a global scale. "Josh has been an integral part of creating the roadmap for rapid and sustainable growth, as he has worked with SEACOMP on a consulting basis for several years and has been instrumental in direction setting on key decisions," said Managing Director Michael Szymanski. As of this month, Josh Nelson will be relocating to the San Diego headquarters to fully devote his time and knowledge to the company.
Nelson previously held consulting CFO positions for numerous businesses across multiple industries, including software and electronic manufacturing companies. He also spent time as a Controller providing accounting guidance and analysis at a global electronics manufacturing company. Nelson began his career as a Senior Design Engineer for Boeing in 1996. Nelson's impressive academic background includes a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, a Masters of Engineering Management from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
Josh Nelson joins the SEACOMP team with accomplished members such as recent hire General Manager Bill Wheeler. As the company expands, there is huge potential to exceed forecasted growth but ultimately, according to Szymanski, "SEACOMP's future will be determined by the talent level of our key executives."
