Renowned Mobile Education Industry Player, Speakaboos, Launches App for iPhone and iPod touch

Company Announces an Expanded Digital Library through Partnerships with Leading Publishers

NEW YORK, Aug. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Speakaboos, the award-winning mobile education platform that brings well-known children's stories to digital devices through interactive storybooks, today announced the launch of the Speakaboos App for iPhone and iPod touch, along with an update to its existing iPad app. Additionally, the company announced the launch of new titles from The Jim Henson Company, HIT Entertainment, and Scholastic Media/Weston Woods.  

The Speakaboos App for iPhone and iPod touch features user-friendly character navigation and an optimized design for the smaller screen size, inviting children as young as two years old to access a library of favorite stories and songs wherever they go. Speakaboos now features two additional reading categories: Robots and Dinosaurs, giving young readers more stories around their favorite topics that will get them reading more and more. The app is free to download on the App Store and users can explore their first 3 stories for free - an unlimited subscription service is available for $4.99 a month, $26.99 for 6 months and $49.99 for a year. Speakaboos has received universally positive customer reviews and is a top 20 service in both the Kids and Books categories on the App Store.

Additionally, Speakaboos has partnered with some of the most recognizable names in children's entertainment and is excited to announce its most recent content partnerships with The Jim Henson Company, the leader in family entertainment, Scholastic Media, a leading producer of quality, family-oriented content across multiple platforms, including film, television, video, mobile and web, and HIT Entertainment, one of the world's leading preschool entertainment companies and a division of Fisher-Price, Inc.

Speakaboos will feature new stories and songs from the Henson™ catalog including three new "Sid The Science Kid" titles - "Rollie Pollies," "Reused Robot" and "Hello Doggies."   Children's favorites from the Scholastic Media's Weston Woods videos include "Wheels on the Bus," "I Stink!" and "Is Your Mamma A Llama?"  The new titles will be live on the Speakaboos App in August and will be expanded upon in weeks and months to come. This fall, Speakaboos will release titles from HIT Entertainment including stories from Thomas and Friends™, Angelina Ballerina™ and The Next Steps™.
