Fast-Growing Retail Franchise Announces Multi-Unit Franchise Operator Development Initiative

With 25 consecutive years of system and same store sales growth and an average of about one new store opening per week, Batteries Plus Bulbs, the nation’s first, largest and fastest-growing battery and light bulb franchise, is launching a new Multi-Unit Franchise Operator Development Initiative designed to keep the 25-year-old leading brand on the fast track for growth.

Through the Multi-Unit Franchise Operator Development Initiative, Batteries Plus Bulbs is offering extraordinary support, including discounted fees, to assist qualified multi-unit franchisees from other non-competing brands in the development of two or more Batteries Plus Bulbs stores. The new initiative is intended to expose qualified multi-unit franchise operators from other franchise concepts to the Batteries Plus Bulbs opportunity.

“We’ve experienced consistent growth over the past 10 years, both organically and with new franchisees," said John Twist, Vice President of Franchise and Business Development for Batteries Plus Bulbs. "What we’re now starting to see is interest from experienced franchisees that own multiple units of other non-competing brands. Whether it’s because their existing franchise brand and market has no remaining territories available or they’re looking to own a business that requires a smaller staff, sells products both retail and business customers need, and is part of a stable, non-trendy growth industry, they see a tremendous opportunity to expand their portfolios with us.”

To help qualified prospects open multiple stores, Twist said Batteries Plus Bulbs will be flexible in working within their specific circumstances to support individual needs. “The idea of the Multi-Unit Franchise Operator Development Initiative is not only to attract qualified, interested candidates, but also help ease any challenges that might prevent them from being able to open multiple stores. We’ll work with them,” he added.

Batteries Plus Bulbs has become the uncontested leader in the growing battery and light bulb markets, differentiated by superior product knowledge, product breadth and availability, and helpful advice. In addition to having access to over 45,000 batteries, light bulbs, and related products, Batteries Plus Bulbs also offers on-site repairs for Apple® devices, including iPhones®, iPads® and iPods®, most Samsung® devices and many more. Services include: battery replacement, and cracked screen, charge port, button and antenna repair, among others. Experts can also install screen protectors on smartphones and tablets to help avoid future damage. Batteries Plus Bulbs also offers to do most repairs “while-you-wait” allowing customers to drop-off broken devices with same-day pickup and a 6-month warranty on all parts and workmanship.

“By adding this new development initiative, smartphone and tablet repair services, and revenue streams to our franchise opportunity offering, we have an aggressive plan in place to continue our rapid expansion. We will continue focusing on opening stores in Southern California, New York and the Mid-Atlantic region this year,” Twist added.

Details about the Multi-Unit Franchise Operator Development Initiative will be available at the West Coast Franchise Expo, being held October 23-25 in Anaheim, CA, as well as by contacting Batteries Plus Bulbs through its franchising website.

Yet it is an excellent choice of words to describe what enterprise IT—and by extension, organizations in general—should be working to achieve. Digital Transformation means: handling all the data types being found and created in the organizat...
