Book Writing 101: Tips to follow before putting pen to paper

The publishing market has grown even more competitive now that anyone can write and publish material on the web. However, researching keywords related to your subject of interest can offer competitive insight on a potential market for your story.  Three ways to utilize keywords to develop a best-selling book idea are:

  • Search for your related keyword in the Kindle Store and examine the highest and lowest selling books in this category. This can help you determine a market that is not too broad and competitive or not too niche and limited.
  • Check out your competition and read their customer book reviews. Negative comments can help you address the topics and concerns that readers were looking for but could not find the answers to.
  • Once you complete your keyword research, integrate those words into your title, subtitle, and overall theme to attract relevant audiences to your content
