KOKOMO, Ind., Aug. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The focus of any car dealership is selling cars; however, some dealers go beyond their call of duty by becoming important assets to the community. Kokomo Auto World has shown its commitment to the Kokomo community lately through a number of social campaigns, giveaways and partnerships. Among those partnerships is the ongoing one between Kokomo Auto World and the Kokomo Humane Society.
Through a social campaign that began this week, Kokomo Auto World is donating $1 to the Kokomo Humane Society for every new Like on its Facebook page. With a $250 goal, this is an opportunity for Kokomo residents to raise money for the humane society without making a financial contribution.
The partnership between the dealership and the humane society started about a month ago when the Kokomo Humane Society purchased its new Ford Transit animal transport van from Kokomo Auto World, prior to the sale of the Ford franchise. The van was wrapped with a custom design funded by Hutson Electric that beautifully encapsulates the mission of the Kokomo Humane Society. Although the humane society received a $17,000 grant from the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, it didn't cover the entire cost of the new van.
At the dealership, Kokomo Auto World has been giving away Paws as a fun way of saying thank you for contributions to the Kokomo Humane Society.
