MADE & Maybelline New York Unite to Support the Next Generation of Great Fashion Designers and Content Creators

NEW YORK, Aug. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MADE, the downtown creative hub, has partnered with number one cosmetic brand Maybelline New York to act as the Official Makeup Partner of MADE Fashion Week, presented September 4th -10th at Milk Studios. Maybelline New York will provide creative direction, backstage artistry and its innovative range of products for more than 10 MADE designers, including Public School, Cushnie Et Ochs, Ostwald Helgason, Olivier Saillard, Kitsune, Jonathan Simkhai, Maria Ke Fisherman, Peter Som, Chris Gelinas, Zana Bayne, and Baja East.

The partners will also introduce the MADE for Maybelline Film Project, an innovative video incubator that will enhance the platform of MADE Fashion Week's support of emerging creative talent. The incubator enlists the vision of eight vanguard filmmakers who will use mixed-media techniques to create an experimental 30-second video inspired by the Maybelline New York-driven makeup trends found only at MADE Fashion Week.

"Supporting visionary talent and remarkable designers is central to MADE's mission and to our partnership with Maybelline New York," says Mazdack Rassi, Co-Founder of MADE and Creative Director of Milk Studios. "It's precisely forward-thinking companies like Maybelline that enable MADE to offer premier New York Fashion Week resources free of charge to designers, and it is absolutely thrilling that Maybelline is supporting filmmakers and video artists in addition to fashion creatives through initiatives such as the MADE for Maybelline Film Project."

Additionally, Maybelline New York will host a media lounge in the Penthouse at Milk Studios. The Maybelline New York media lounge will be open to editors, bloggers and influencers for three days and culminate in the exclusive MADE for Maybelline Film Project special event, which will be held on Wednesday, September 10th to close out the week.

During the MADE for Maybelline Film Project event, a panel of judges – comprised of Mazdack Rassi (Milk Studios & MADE Co-founder), David Greenberg (President of Maybelline New York-Garnier-essie), and Georgie Greville (LEGS Media) – will award the creator of the most dynamic and engaging 30-second video with a fiscal donation and opportunity to work on a larger film project at MADE Fashion Week in February 2015.

"Maybelline's involvement in fashion and commitment to creativity grow stronger with each season," said David Greenberg, President of Maybelline New York-Garnier-essie. "As the fashion landscape continues to evolve, we need to ebb and flow with it, finding new and interesting ways to support our trend platform and the artistic communities that contribute to it. Partnering with MADE Fashion Week allows us to tap into a new generation of talent through meaningful backstage collaborations and thought-provoking content projects. These efforts showcase the Maybelline New York brand in an exciting new light."

Between 2005 and 2020, data volumes will grow by a factor of 300 – enough data to stack CDs from the earth to the moon 162 times. This has come to be known as the ‘big data’ phenomenon. Unfortunately, traditional approaches to handling, storing and analyzing data aren’t adequate at this scale: they’re too costly, slow and physically cumbersome to keep up. When it comes to cloud computing, the ability to turn massive amounts of compute cores on and off on demand sounds attractive to IT staff, who need to manage peaks and valleys in user activity. With cloud bursting, the majority of the data can stay on premises while tapping into compute from public cloud providers, reducing risk and minimizing need to move large files. According to Forrester Research, every business will become either a digital predator or digital prey by 2020. To avoid demise, organizations must rapidly create new sources of value in their end-to-end customer experiences. True digital predators also must break down information and process silos and extend digital transformation initiatives to empower employees with the digital resources needed to win, serve, and retain customers.

"Once customers get a year into their IoT deployments, they start to realize that they may have been shortsighted in the ways they built out their deployment and the key thing I see a lot of people looking at is - how can I take equipment data, pull it back in an IoT solution and show it in a dashboard," stated Dave McCarthy, Director of Products at Bsquare Corporation, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at @ThingsExpo, held November 1-3, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
