WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/22/14 -- The Independent American Party National Committee has elected Cary Lee Peterson as the new chief coordinator of U.S. Territories in anticipation and pursuit to broaden the national political party's awareness, while making preparations for 2016 federal elections.
The newly formed Independent American Party of U.S. Territories (IAPUST) has began working to register at local election offices in Guam, Puerto Rico, America Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, and U.S. Virgin Islands and elect regional coordinators for each U.S. territory.
The Independent American Party of U.S. Territories, Chief Coordinator and Chairman, Cary Lee Peterson tells the press that 'the Party's intentions are to display to U.S. civilians that they have viable political options that exist and that the Party will build brick by brick, day by day, God willing to see through a fair and righteous election season in 2016'. Peterson also says that IAPUST will focus on the 'Every vote counts' campaign following the completion of all local and federal filings for all five of the Territories of the United States that hold federal elections. Peterson comments that the 'Every vote counts' campaign's core objectives are to encourage U.S. citizens living in U.S. territories and overseas military bases to register to vote online.
IAPUST hopes to attract new members to the Independent American Party in U.S. territories and overseas military bases where over four million people reside, which of many are U.S. citizens who are eligible to vote in federal elections.
