The business was the recipient of a grant from East Staffordshire Business Development Fund which really helped the idea get off the ground. The clinic provides a hub for self-employed therapists starting out in the area; Anna welcomes applications from outstanding local therapists who would like to join the team.

Anna says:

"I have always wanted to operate from a really beautiful environment and had a vision of excellent practitioners all pulling together as a team to achieve the best outcome for our patients. The philosophy of the centre is just that and I am very proud to be part of it."

Why Equilibrium?

Equilibrium is unique to the area in the range of therapies available under one roof. Between them, the Chiropractors offer a huge range of techniques including diversified, cranial adjusting, sacro-occipital technique, neuro-muscular and soft tissue release techniques, activator, McTimoney Chiropractic, massage, acupuncture for pain relief and applied kinesiology. This means there is a safe and effective technique to suit everyone, young or old.

Lisa offers clinical massage; this combines a fusion of techniques, including amma fusion, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, soft tissue release, deep tissue, sports massage and stretching. Each massage is tailored to your specific needs. Through listening, observation and touch, techniques are combined to relieve trigger points, pain and stress.

Angela offers CBT, hypnotherapy and counselling, and Sophie brings her experience from working as an NHS psychologist to the centre.

Emma is a personal trainer and nutritional therapist and can support clients on their journey independently or alongside other therapies.

Victor is our acupuncturist and comes from the traditional Chinese school using the five elements approach to health.

All the therapists offer a free 15 minute consultation to discuss any aspect of health and therapy.

The therapists are able to give lifestyle advice such as advice on nutrition, stress relief and exercising safely and want to have a positive impact on the health of local people.

The centre is managed by the warm, friendly and competent Janice, who is supported by Gill on reception.
