ALLENTOWN, Pa., Aug. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) declared a quarterly common stock dividend on Friday (8/22) of $0.3725 per share, payable Oct. 1, 2014, to shareowners of record as of Sept. 10, 2014.
PPL Corporation, with 2013 revenues of $12 billion, is one of the largest companies in the U.S. utility sector. The PPL family of companies delivers electricity and natural gas to about 10 million customers in the United States and the United Kingdom. PPL recently announced an agreement to spin off its competitive generation business and combine it with the competitive generation business of Riverstone Holdings LLC to form Talen Energy Corporation, which would be one of the largest Independent Power Producers in the country.
