With huge volumes of visitors and staff, large and diverse surveillance monitoring needs, a heightened threat of criminal activity, and state-mandated surveillance requirements, casinos and gaming operations are one of the largest consumers of data management and video technologies. Despite this, the majority of gaming operations still rely on out-dated solutions. Additionally, retail and hospitality operators are still using antiquated technology and obsolete techniques to monitor for fraud, collusion and all types of scams.

Through the use of eConnect™ software operators can expect a dramatic return on investment usually within 3 to 6 months.  This is accomplished by synchronizing transactional data from point-of-sale (POS), casino systems and games to digital video surveillance, producing the best fraud deterrence tool in the industry.  The software tool also increases the effectiveness of employee productivity, allowing managers to easily identify common employee errors.

Douglas Florence, CPP,  VP Strategic Operations, eConnect

With thirty-nine years of security industry experience, Florence is widely regarded as a surveillance, security, gaming operations and retail subject matter expert. Prior to joining Avigilon, Florence was Director of Business Development of Global Gaming for Avigilon, Vice-President of Security and Surveillance at M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas where he was responsible for the management of the casino's security, surveillance, and risk management organization. Florence was also the Executive Director of Security at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and the Director of Surveillance at The Mirage. During his retail career he worked for Grand Central Dept Stores, Neiman Marcus, Bullock's, Macy's and Broadway Department stores.  Throughout his career, Florence has been instrumental in the development of security, surveillance, and investigation operations that are widely used in gaming and retail security today.

"During my career as a gaming and retail security executive, I have relied on surveillance technology and data from business operations to meet the high-level of security required at gaming and retail  establishments," said Douglas Florence, VP Strategic Operations for eConnect™,. Douglas also said  "By delivering an unmatched level of big-data management combined with the ability to leverage existing POS, Financial Systems and Surveillance technology investments, eConnect's software solutions is a perfect choice for gaming and retail organizations looking to reduce losses to fraud, employee theft and to better manage their business.  I look forward to providing our customers the ROI that they expect, the piece of mind that their profits are protected and working with the eConnect team."
