BURGER KING(R) Celebrates Back-to-School With New Fall Menu

Affordable options include two new additions to popular New KING DEALS(R) menu

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 08/26/14 -- BURGER KING® Canada is marking the arrival of fall and back-to-school with the addition of two burgers to the New KING DEALS® value menu, a Cheeseburger and Double Cheeseburger, the latter featuring two 2-oz grilled beef patties topped with a layer of melted cheese, crinkle cut pickles, yellow mustard, and ketchup on a toasted sesame seed bun.

The New KING DEALS® menu offers up to 10 tasty choices starting at $1.39 including the classic WHOPPER JR® Sandwich, the best-selling Crispy Chicken Jr. Sandwich, Soft drinks, French Fries and Onion Rings. Menu options may vary at locations across Canada.

"The change of season and the fervor of back-to-school can be a hectic and expensive time of year for families," said Tracy Chin-Sam, Associate Marketing Director for the BURGER KING® brand in Canada. "We want to make sure we can fill a need for a quick, tasty and affordable meal for Canadian families on the go."

The New KING DEALS® menu changes also coincide with the introduction of two brand new sandwiches, the new Mushroom Swiss Bacon WHOPPER® and the Spicy BIG KING™. The Mushroom Swiss Bacon WHOPPER® builds on the famous WHOPPER® Sandwich with crispy bacon, juicy mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese, while the Spicy BIG KING™ features two fire-grilled beef patties, topped with melted cheese, jalapenos, spicy Angry Sauce, fresh cut lettuce and crisp onions on a toasted, sesame seed bun.

The Spicy BIG KING™ is the third member of the KING™ Collection, a new menu lineup launched in Canada earlier this year with the BIG KING™ and the Chicken BIG KING™. The KING™ Collection sandwiches are available at most BURGER KING® locations in Canada as part of an ongoing $5 Meal Deal Combo including a medium drink and medium fries.

BURGER KING® Canada is supporting the New KING DEALS® menu promotion and the launch of the Mushroom Swiss Bacon WHOPPER® and Spicy BIG KING™ with a national marketing campaign including digital, TV and radio and point of sale materials.

In the world of DevOps there are ‘known good practices’ – aka ‘patterns’ – and ‘known bad practices’ – aka ‘anti-patterns.' Many of these patterns and anti-patterns have been developed from real world experience, especially by the early adopters of DevOps theory; but many are more feasible in theory than in practice, especially for more recent entrants to the DevOps scene. When growing capacity and power in the data center, the architectural trade-offs between server scale-up vs. scale-out continue to be debated. Both approaches are valid: scale-out adds multiple, smaller servers running in a distributed computing model, while scale-up adds fewer, more powerful servers that are capable of running larger workloads. It’s worth noting that there are additional, unique advantages that scale-up architectures offer. One big advantage is large memory and compute capacity...
